Let's keep it going!!
He nodded as if he was satisfied. I studied him as he looked out the window. He wasn’t as scary as he sounded. If anything, you would laugh if he told you that he was a Supreme Leader. His build was big, but his face was nice. Kind even. Everything changed when mother died. He locked himself in his room for weeks not saying a thing to anybody about his disappearance when he came out. The only thing that changed about him was his temper. He became angry at every little thing that was uttered. Every little thing that was wrong. Especially on this kind of day.
I could tell that we were close by the gradual slowing of the engine. The pilot contacted the watch tower on a console. Once he flicked a red switch, a screen appeared that showed the people in the watch tower. “Aircraft name?” The system emitted.
Dad walked in front of the screen and showed his face. The men immediately bowed and said their apologies. “Aircraft 2A3 approaching the hanger.” The video feed shut off as we flew slowly into the hanger. As we walked out, troops lined up bowing respectively to me and Father. I responded by putting a hand over my fist and bowing back. Father didn’t even make eye contact. Instead, he was bent on getting to his room. Once we reached the hallway, I broke off and sprinted to my room which was in the West Wing. Father’s was in the East. The exact opposite on purpose.
My breath was even as I approached my bedroom door. Slowing down, I examined the hallway walls carefully. Pictures of war, blood, and sadness radiated from the walls. For the first time ever, I felt remorse for commanding the attack. Seeing the pictures filled me with something that I wasn’t familiar with.
I shook myself and opened my door. Instantly, I was hit by a body that almost knocked me to the ground.
