I know we cant stop it... But we can at least try.
Maps are a risk....
"i saw a comment somewhere that Scratch 3.0 will make all the Scratch 2.0 projects be unplayable NOOOOO WHY ST WHY"
I really hate 3.0....not only cuz of maps but also because the set up will be different and mess everything up. I hope if they do make 3.0 they will give u the option to update or not, that would be awesome.
Why would the scratch team do this to us? We need our Maps, nd who knows what 4.0 will be like!?
I wouldn't say I hated 3.0... but I dislike it... the blocks are too big, the backpack might go... I could go on for a while... but some parts I do like, like the new blocks and the audio changer... but that's it really...
If scratch 3.0 is the way it is in the beta version, or worse, or just bad in general, I'm probably going to leave Scratch especially since all the hard work we all put into our projects may be gone
true we do work really hard and if 3.0 is worse then why update scratch --ekohl5
actually, 2.0 projects will work in 3.0, but stuff might happen to the timing and things like that? it's just like how 1.4 projects are a little bit ruined when uploaded to 2.0. not trying to sound rude or something, though.
I think it's because of adobe. Last year I heard that it wouldn't own flash anymore. I'm not completely sure, but I will HATE that. What's weirder is that is that, when I say my flash needs to allow always for a site like Scratch, it makes me ask. Maybe that's a hint? Maybe 3.0. will somehow find something else...This is only what I think, and I respect everyone elses opinions.
I respect everyone's opinions on Scratch 3.0, but its only in Beta. Its not in final, so you can always give them constructive ideas in the Scratch 3.0 forum. They're trying to make sure all of our projects are able to work with HTML5. We'll all get used to it although it looks confusing at first. Flash is dying, and they're trying to save the site we are on by switching it over to a new platform. They're still adding the backpack, etc so there is no need to worry. And if we don't like it, we can always use the offline editors. Although I'm not the biggest fan of Scratch 3.0, I'm positive that everything will be okay in the outcome. Overall, I respect everyone's opinions, as there is no right or wrong opinion.
