"We Are Number One has been one of the greatest memes are will truly go down in history, and the amazing actor behind it all has just passed away. Stefan Karl Stefansson, the actor of Robbie Rotten, has brought so many memers together and inspired countless people into the world of memes. Dank memes are scarce in the internet and if it wasn't for We Are Number One, who's to say they would still exist? We Are Number One has also been the big kickstarter meme for many meme lords' careers, including @Grandayy, who greatly helped to keep the We Are Number One meme alive well into late 2017 and who was arguably the spiciest meme lord. As Robbie Rotten had pancreas cancer at the time of the We Are Number One meme, meme lords helped spread awareness to support Robbie Rotten through the battle. This not only increased awareness of pancreas cancer, but united memers in realizing that memes were for greater than just entertainment. Robbie Rotten has not only given the meme community We Are Number One, but also many other songs from the show Lazy Town, and all his support to the meme community finally payed off when he survived terminal cancer in late 2017, and things were looking much better. The meme lords moved on from We Are Number One to newer memes like Man's Not Hot, but the meme community would begin to fade in 2018, as normie memes were on the rise. Sadly, Robbie Rotten's cancer came back and he didn't survive, but is this really the end? Although over time people will slowly start to think about Robbie Rotten and everything he did to strengthen the meme community less over time, he will always be remembered in our hearts and his legacy of dank memes will be passed on for the rest of the world to come. Dank memes never die."

"He will be forever known. He was the dankest of them all. He's a savior, a hard-working guy, someone who never gives up. He's been fighting strong over cancer. He will be forever in our souls. He has made the meme community of how it is today. May the dankest memes be with you"

"Memes don't die, they will always live. Around this time the actor for Robbie Rotten has sadly passed away. It was a sad day for all. No matter if you watched the show or liked the meme. He will still live in us all. Dank memes don't die, they shouldn't. People kept the meme running as long as they could. He lived a good life, being a meme and an actor. I know my art is cartoony but it is still amazing, to me. The "We Are Number One" meme was probably my favorite one, Oh silly trumpet Robbie. Who really made the meme a good meme was Grandayy, he kept the meme alive for almost a year. May Robbie Rotten rest in peace."

"Stefán was a great man bringing smiles and joy to millions whether it be through a meme or the show LazyTown. He fought a long and hard battle and will be missed. I know for sure the he will always be number one meme legend and villain in my heart."

"Man, when I found out about this, I legit felt like crying. The actor (Stefan Karl Stefansson) died on 8/21/18 (or 21/8/18 for anyone who uses that way of dates). He played the famous villain Robbie Rotten from Lazytown. I remember waking up every Saturday and Sunday when I was younger and rushing downstairs to watch this on either Milkshake, Cbeebies or Cartoonito (British kids channels). When I heard about his death, a little bit of me died inside. He made, not only my childhood, but so many others too.
His memes made us happy when we grew up, but we'll never forget his evil disguises and traps. He'll always be our No.1 :)" - @Mystix-
"Stefan Karl wass number one." -
