Feeling hungry? Well you’re in luck! This week for Scratch Camp, we’re trying out cooking and making food!
You could try cooking something in the kitchen. Now is your chance to add a surprising vegetable to some pizza and see how it turns out, or maybe make a new fruit smoothie. Or you can cook something up with Scratch, like a cool birthday cake designer.
After you make something, it’s time to share it! You have a week to work on this, so you have time to add fun and interesting details to your project. You could…
- Show photos or drawings of the process of making your food and explain the recipe so others can try
- Use Scratch to add interactive elements to photos or drawings of your creation
- Use Scratch to animate photos or drawings of your creation
- Write a review of the food you made. Then try making it a different way!

Not interested in cooking in the kitchen? Here are some things you might try making digitally on Scratch:
- Design a cake
- Make an imaginary recipe
- Dream sandwich maker
Looking forward to seeing (and tasting?) what you create!
Special thanks to our amazing counselors!
