    Chapter 6

The dining pavilion was a white room, with black chairs and a red table cloth. Eli, Susan, Michael, Emily, and a few others where there.

We have breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. We send our prayers to our father and mother, and we eat.

But sometimes, it could get tense. I could feel Zach’s aggression towards Susan. His element, mischief, came out in ways that were sometimes not appropriate, so we had to restrain him slightly.

[No I didn’t! Why would I threaten him with major bodily harm, Peter? That’s mean!]

Anyway, I didn’t think Peter was coming, and everyone was getting impatient, so I said prayers and we ate.

Halfway into dinner, Zach stood up suddenly.

“Why isn’t Peter here? Doesn’t he know it’s rude to refuse service?”

“I’m sure he’s just not hungry.” I reassured.

“Oh really? Maybe he’s doing something no one else should see.” Zach accused.

    “Like what?”

“I don’t know…. All I know is that his brother is Ethan. And that Ethan did something bad.”

I stood up so fast, my chair toppled over and hit the floor.

“If you would like to remind us of what he did, go right ahead. Keep in mind that you played in this story. Would you really like to bring it up?” I yelled.

Michael, elemental for ice, looked worried.

Then I noticed Susan. She was close to tears.

“If I’m a problem, then I’ll just leave.” She said, her voice trembling. She then ran upstairs to her room.

“Look what you’ve done!” I yelled. I heard Susan’s door close.

    “Good riddance.” Ethan called.

A door opened upstairs and closed gently. The room got quiet.

“Is there something wrong?” A voice asked.
