Hey there!! You're in the Story Platformers studio!! Please read the description!!!! It would really help benefit you!!!
The studio for projects with BOTH:
❶ A platform style game
❷ A story or plot in it to read! (discussed below)
What should a Story Platformer Look Like?
PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION HERE!
This studio will accept projects from anyone at any skill level as long as it qualifies as a story platformer. To qualify, the story must a) exist and b) influence the gameplay. This does NOT need to be anything complicated. I will direct you to @AnnaHannah's project here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/374851311
This project IS a story platformer because in it Blue has to collect tokens before being able to move on. This is a very simple addition that allowed the story to take a front seat role in the project. Anything like this will suffice, but what DOES NOT work is to come up with a premise behind a normal "avoid" platformer such as "A hero is trying to complete a challenge to become a champion." My rule of thumb is if you can delete the story-related elements and the project will still work, it does NOT count.
Please post a link if you have a project with BOTH a platform game and a story.
We are NOT looking for projects that are not platformers and are only "make a platformer" contests
Boosting projects repeatedly will result in curators being deleted.
P L E A S E R E A D :
This is the "Story Platformers" studio, Everyone's story platformers are welcome on this studio :)
You: I would like to leave a comment.
Managers: I have received many suggestions on my profile of games that should be added. It may take a curator a couple hours to respond, so just because someone does not instantly reply doesn't mean that you should go onto a curator or manager's profile to suggest a project. If you do, you may not get a response.
This is a studio for story platformers. A platformer is a type of game that is almost viral on scratch, but this studio takes it to a different level. A story platformer is a platformer with a story, where there is something going on. Almost like a plot. I started by adding two of my story platformers, but I would really like a lot more diversity. If you would like to add one of your story platformers, just leave a comment :)
However, we have received many comments from people who just want views on their projects. Some are quite good, but this is not a studio for that, it is ONLY for story platformers. Please do not comment with a link to any game just because you want views, there are other studios for that.
We really don't care what the programming level of the story platformer is at, everything is appreciated and respected on this studio. In fact we appreciate more games at ALL programming levels.
We would rather not have remixes, however, unless they vastly change the original project.
Note to everyone. If you suggest a project, and your comment gets buried in a load of other comments, and no curator responds, after a few days please comment again. We would really rather not miss whatever it is. :)
I added a few curators off the bat because we do not have enough yet. However, now that some have been added, if you wish to be a curator, let me know in the comments and provide a link to one of your story platformers. You may be added, although at a certain point we may not need any more curators.
Special Note: If you comment without reading the description, do not expect a response.
- Be respectful
- Don't add the same projects over and over again
- No advertising (giving links to your platformers to put in the studio doesn't count)
I M P O R T A N T N O T E :
You: I would like to be a curator
If you do, then please do these following instructions:
Comment "tea cake" in a sentence, secretly like, "I like tea cakes," to tell us that you already read this far. Do this to link with your platformers as well!!! THEN, you may ask to become a curator!!
This means that you read it!! We'll know who did, and who didn't!! Don't tell others too!! Keep it to yourself!! Shh!!
If we ask where you got the secret word from, reply, "D" as in description.
Don't tell others; if they ask to be curator, add projects, etc., don't answer them. Just ignore them because they didn't read the description. We're not doing this to be mean; it's only because they won't read the description.
