What's Scratch Codegolf?
Codegolf by itself is the challenge to make a program that accomplishes a certain task in the least number of bytes possible.
Rather than looking at bytes, however, Scratch Codegolf looks at blocks, as in anything that can be pulled out of a script.
Coming up with a solution is the easy part, but the hard part comes in shortening that solution. See the first project as an example.
Have an idea? Request it in the comments!
- Any blocks are allowed, including custom and hacked blocks.
- Recursion is allowed.
- Exploiting glitches is allowed (or, in this case, exploiting features in Scratch that would throw error messages in other languages).
- Extensions are NOT allowed.
- See the original project (Sorting a Unique List) for more details.
Specific rules will be different for each project.
