This is a regulated species I have created. It is mainly designed to be anthro, though it can be feral, or both. You can make a character using it, but you have to describe or draw your character first (In comments or projects) and I will accept it, or ask you to change something, because all characters need to have certain things to make them that character. Feel free to roleplay, too. If you have any questions, ask away, I may of been unclear or forgotten to add something. The less rare or uncommon traits you have, the easier it is the get accepted. Also, for designing, they were intended to be mainly a mix between a deer, a lion, and nature.
Scientific Name: Cervo Leonem
Common Name: Laet (Lay-et)
Group Name: Bud. Example: A bud of laets
(Described using the most common things they have)
A deer like creature, sharing a similar body type and shape, along with front legs similar to that of a lion, and their back legs match the rest of their body. Their claws and hooves are made of a material that appears to be stone, but with a sort of covering of tree bark, the stone only visible from the bottom of the hooves. The bark can be chipped off, or cracked.
Their tails are similar to that of a lion or a zebra, being thin and short, just a little shorter than a zebras, with a tuft made of vines. They also have a thick mane around their neck made of vines, except, unlike a lions, it starts just where the neck starts, and not on the top of the head/forehead, and falls lightly over the shoulders.
They have large antlers which are surprisingly strong, seeing as they are made of tree branches, though in the shape of deer antlers, and they are often decorated with vines and flowers hanging from them.
Their color schemes are often shades of brown, tan, greens, or yellowish shades.
Purple: Happens, but mentioning/showing is optional
Red: Only with permission
Fur becomes desaturated, or turns light grey or a very desaturated grey-blue fully during the winter, starting in the end of fall and turns back in the middle of spring and fully in the earlier stages of summer. They grow fluffy in the winter, and shed this fluff as their coats change (Green). Fur sometimes turns white during this time (Orange)
Flowers, or mushrooms, turn grey and wilt or droop when the fur changes in winter and regrow in the summer and spring (Blue)
Vines, grass, and/or moss turns a light grey or a desaturated grey-blue (Darker than fur) as the fur changes (Blue)
Goes into heat/rut season around October, once a year for about a week (replaces period for females if anthro) (Purple)
Sheds antlers in December (Blue). If not, snow gathers on antlers
Plants, moss, flowers, and similar things growing from back (Green)
Branches growing from body. Usually paired with plants, moss, etc (Blue)
Has mushrooms on back instead of plants (Orange)

Vines for mane (Green)
Grass for mane (Green)
Moss for mane (Blue)
No ‘mane’ (Red. The mane is part for what makes them what they are!)
