My breathe appeared in white clouds. I hugged my coat, which would have been plenty for a usual fall day, but no. Today had to be thirty-two degrees. In September.
I shivered. I stared at the ground. My ripped skinny jeans didn't help much. They weren't overly ripped, just on the right side of my hip. The strings had a navy blue fabric under it, but it wasn't visible unless you moved the white strings. The small rip on my right knee, however, didn't have fabric under it.
I heard the roar of the bus engine. My attention turned to the source. The yellow-orange bus roared down the small hill to my stop.
My long ash blonde hair waved in the cold, crisp wind. I closed my eye shut. I opened them back when I heard the squeaky brakes of the bus.
"Mornin'.", A raspy voice greted me. Her voice was monotone, no emotion whatsoever.
"Morning." I replied. My eyes met with hers. She was a plump old woman with a wrinkly witch like face. Her eyes were a deep brown with ice gray flakes scattered around the pupil. Her brown hair was in a short ponytail. It had gray streaks in it. Her expression looked absolutely miserable. I smile, nervous. She forced a smiled back.
I walked to the back of the bus. My eyes on the aisle ahead. A few times people's eyes met mine. Shock written over their face. 'Have I changed that much?' I asked myself. I twirled my curled hair.
I finally found a spot to myself in the back of the right side. Whispers grew, a few stares in my direction. I looked at the seat next to me.
My eyes meet ice blue ones. I quickly looked away.
I stole a quick glance to see if he was still looking. I sighed. He was turned to the window now. He had gorgeously tanned skin. It was clear as a summer day. His eyes were luring. He had long dark brown eyelashes. They were thicker than mine. He had thick upward style eyebrows, that were styled perfectly. His jaw was squared. His lips were a baby pink. His shoulders were broad.
He wore a light gray shirt that faded into black. He had black pants. He had white earbud cords dangling from his ears into his pants' pocket.
'He's new...' I looked away. I didn't want to seem like a creep. 'Should I have put on those brown contact lenses?' I asked myself. I scooted towards the window and set my white and black backpack next to me. I felt eyes on me again. I looked around and saw a flash of ice blue. I blinked and the eyes were gone. I didn't feel them the rest of the way to school.
I looked next to me, wondering why everyone was whispering. I saw a girl next to me. I recognized her immediately.
She was in my math class last year. I never paid much attention to her before. Her eyes were different. They weren't the same unearthly Dark purple into electric blue. They always made me think of the galaxy. They had the same color palette. My eyes met hers. I looked away slowly. She looked hot, even with her glasses on. Her large eyes and high cheek bones made her look angelic. I looked towards the window.
The bus jerked to a stop. I didn't move. I shot a glance towards the girl. She looked shaken. I smirked and looked back at the window. A few kids scrambled to the other side of the bus.

I looked around. I knew no one. My lips pursed. My eyes spotted her. I felt the color draining from my face. Alice. My only friend- er ex friend. We were so close since we were three. We were tied by the hip. Until last summer. She spotted me. I quickly turned my head before I could see her hatred. I bit on lip lip to keep it from quivering.
