Tomorrow.
Tomorrow, the FCC votes on net neutrality.
By now, you've probably heard the story.
Ajit Pal, the chairman of the FCC, has decided to vote to repeal Net Neutrality.
Because of Net Neutrality, everyone is granted equal access on all sites, all sites run at the same speeds, and websites don't have to charge money to stay afloat.
Without that, larger companies can't slow down other sites, forcing you to use their site.
However, if Net Neutrality is repealed, then sites who can't pay enough to stay afloat will die.
Scratch is one of them.
Since the website is free, if it costs more to stay on the internet, then they either have to make you pay to be on the website, or they will have to wipe out the site completely.
Now, I'm not telling anyone to pack up their bags, delete their accounts, and leave forever.
No.
But...
Tomorrow is the voting day.
Let's hope they make the right choice.
