Seventh of April. 11pm. What was I doing? I remember Larisa, and then another house... then black. But I am almost sure there was more to it.
You see, Larisa is a vampire. And she knows it. I need a memory restorer, for I feel this will become important somehow. Either Larisa, the house, or, if I dare say it, Me. Something is happening, and I know it. Just I don't know WHAT.
Miss Burilla was the one who helped me. She led me into this bookcase room... and something popped. An hour of my life burst into my head. And I knew.
I'd woken up, hearing a rustle, and sneaked out. My clothing blended in so effectively I looked exactly like the sunset. A girl I identified as Kayla was walking into a hut on the roof. Not my patch- Larisa's patch. The house started to glow as Kayla put her hand on it. I flattened my hair down and felt a queer sensation like... I was a ghost. An orb appeared around Larisa's house and Kayla started walking away. She turned around sharply and fired lightning at the orb, it bounced off harmlessly.
"Wow..." I whispered. I was invisible, and I'd just realised it. I followed Kayla as she walked into the headteacher's office, just on the wall. I came through the window and Kayla revealed a secret door in one of the bookcases. It swung open and we walked in. The door banged shut. I went into a corner.
This looked like a BEDROOM. In the centre of the room was a large bed, then a bookcase and more. There were no windows- the bookcase was the only way in- and the only way out too. Kayla brought out a photo of her, Larisa, and an old-looking woman all smiling and hugging. I started putting pieces of the puzzle together. I recognised that old woman- who was she? Kayla lay down to sleep and I realised there was no way out. Then, Kayla stood up and looked RIGHT AT ME. I moved. Kayla opened the door and started rifling through Mrs. Doelle's files. I scrambled out of the window and hung in mid-air. I'd been caught! For the first time ever I'd been caught! The ball floated through the window and I floated in the middle of it, as if some strange gravity was keeping me there.
"Hallo!" I said, faking cheerfulness. In fact, I was REALLY ANGRY.
"I'm sorry, but you can't know about me." said Kayla calmly, making some strange lilting gestures with her hands. I went to sleep, and remembered no more.
I didn't even remember HOW I got to sleep.
The next day, Larisa woke me up.
"You woke up quite late. You will be late for class."
"Oh. I don't even remember going to sleep."
I'd always suspected I was under some sort of memory charm, because I completely failed the History test, but I'd done all right in the practises. It was rather suspicious from the start.
And so the jigsaw fell apart again.
For those who are new to Looking Glass Academy:
I'm sorry if this confused you! This part isn't really connected to the others, but you won't know the characters. Believe me, everyone here is learning in this chapter!
For those who are my readers:
What happened to part 16? It got absolutely no comments. The only people who viewed it were @Cloverberry and @phiniz5. And what's happening to ME!?
I'm getting less and less mail. I had two today! I hope that with this chapter I can re-excite you in my presence on this website!
Q TO ANSWER!
Q: Who is the Old Woman?
MY A: She could be anybody. Anybody at all. But the fact that I've asked this question must mean that she is important.
Yes you have seen her, if you've read all the parts.
@FollowCherryBlossom is closest so far, with Yara!
Yee, a stally chapter featuring Susi! If you follow my character evolutions, she evolved from Talente Susi, and evolves into Evi! This chapter gives a good hint of Susi's place in this, which is higher than you thought. Of course, it gives no hint of what happens next... Even I found that unexpected. Please may I get more comments than last time? I feel like this account is dying ;-;
