You wake up in a small futuristic capsule, it opens before your eyes. You exit into a room filled with these capsules, some empty, some occupied. You head to the nearest door into a hallway, you walk to the end of the hallway into a lobby-like area, there is a glass door opposite of you, and through it you can see the earth, a barren land, and the sky, much darker than you remember. You don't remember anything else, so you make up a name and step outside where you hear something in your head
"Welcome to the last place left on earth. We are pleased to welcome you. We hope you have a nice stay"

You walk along the dirt for a while and hear another voice while a futuristic robot passes by.
These are unlikeable times, so much destruction, so much death, it all started with the laboratory.

You seem like the only actual life for miles, so you sit down on a rock while you look at a worn down sign reading
"This is the 5th reconstruction of the newly renamed Atomotrough Laboratory. Warning, Atomotroughs inside"
You decide to ask someone about the Atomotroughs and you figure out that they are the last experiments of the Atomotrough Lab, formally called the New Endeavors Lab: Physics Branch.
The Atomotroughs were humans directly fused with millions of a specific types of atoms, granting them powers and abilities beyond control. You also learn that the evil Atomotroughs escaped and nearly destroyed the world, and now it's in a constant state of the cliche good vs evil.
Story Split Here---
Story 1: You learn that you are, in fact an Atomotrough, and either you can be evil and despised by others, or good, and risk your life fighting other Atomotroughs
You quickly learn your powers based on groups:

Alkali Metals: Ability to produce explosions at any point in space visible to you
Alkaline Earth Metals: Toxic spit and skin (Usually carry thin tubes to act as blowdart guns), Poison Immunity
Boron: Ability to turn into a stone statue (Can't move but invincible to everything except explosions)
Group 13 (Excluding Boron): Can control Metal
Carbon: Can give or take life from anything by one touch (revive a dead ally, or kill an enemy)
Silicon and Germanium: Ability to turn into a metal statue (Can't move but invincible to all except electricity)
Tin and Lead: Mega Strength
Nitrogen and Phosphorous: Fire-Breathing
Arsenic and Antimony: Metal skin (Can still move, invincible to everything except electricity, slowness)
Bismuth: Magnetism (Attracts metal statues and metal skin too)
Oxygen, Sulfur, and Selenium:
Poisonous Breath, Poison Immunity
Tellurium: Poison Immunity, Invisibility
Polonium: Toxic Aura, Poison Immunity
Halogens (Except Astatine): Phasing
Noble Gases: Immunity to explosions and poison
You also have powers based on your element's state of matter at room temperature

Using these powers, what will you do with your new life?
Story 2: You find out that everyone that is alive and not a robot is in underground bunkers throughout the world. Each Bunker contains a group of people with one cause. There are five groups:
SODA: The Society Of Disposing Atomotroughs. They believe that all Atomotroughs are evil, and a threat, so they created an army to try and stop Atomotroughs.
DTFA: Defending Team For Atomotroughs. They believe that all Atomotroughs are good inside. They try to convince them to be good and join their group.
JUST: Just a Union for Surviving the Terrors. All they focus on is themselves. They don't have any goal. Their slogan is "JUST survive."
DEAD: Demolition, Extirpation, Annihilation, Destruction. This group has given up. They believe some divine force decided to end the world, so they just go with the flow. Basically, they just wander around, rarely go back to their bunker, and don't care if they die.
NEWT: New Endeavors Wasteland-To-Town. These guys are determined, they are trying to take back and repair the land, re-civilize, repopulate, basically turn wasteland into towns.
