Once there was a girl named Amelia, she had short, blonde hair in pigtails, and sky blue eyes. In 5th grade, she liked a girl named Alice, the most popular girl in 5th grade. Alice had long, straight brown hair that she would put in a ponytail. Her eyes were a dark blue, they were gorgeous. Amelia would always draw pictures of her in her notebook. In 5th grade, a rumor spread that Amelia liked Alice. Of course, it wasn't really a rumor, since it WAS true. But she never told anyone about her crush. Not even her parents. But one day, Alice walked over to Amelia. It was the last day of school before summer. Everyone was going to the ice cream shop. "Hi, I have something to tell you" she said, "I like you." Amelia was so happy inside, but she was able to contain it. "Wanna go on a date, maybe?" It was kinda weird, since you don't normally date in 5th grade, but a lot of other classmates were dating, so it was okay, I guess. After school, she met Alice by the doors, and they walked over to get ice cream. "Hey, could you go get some napkins, Amelia? Please?" Said Alice, "Sure!" Amelia went into the store, and while she was trying to balance all the stuff she was holding; her purse, her ice cream, the napkins, Alice threw her ice cream on her, "Ha! Good luck with getting THOSE stains off! You already ARE a stain!" Of course, with Alice being a very popular Girl, a bunch of kids who were also at the shop, threw their ice cream at her. Amelia was so embarrassed, Alice took Amelia's purse out of her hands, and used up all the money. Amelia cried her way back home. She had nothing left.
Time went on. Amelia seemed to have forgotten that year. After a few years, Alice & Amelia went to different middle schools, despite living in the same town. They were 13. Even though it was a long time ago, Alice still regretted that one day when she hurt Amelia. She started to have feelings for her. One day, it was the last week of school. The last week of middle school for Amelia. She was standing at the dock at dawn, looking at the sunset. Alice followed her, and stood by her side. "Hi, Amelia" she said, "Oh, Hi Alice" she turned to look back at the sunset. She had this expression on her face; emotionless. "Amelia" she reached for her hand, "I…"
"I'm sorry," said Amelia, "I can't forgive you" she pulled her hand away and walked off.
Even more years had passed. Alice couldn't stop thinking about Amelia. The same purse that she took away was still in her room, waiting to be returned…
