You're standing in a small room, pristine white walls and a barred door, about ten by ten feet, in your pajamas, alone or with your very best friend. The room has a desk and chair, a (bunk) bed, and a private bathroom with attached closet-- it's modern and freshly cleaned. You were grabbed in the middle of the night, and you have no idea why you're here. The loudspeaker suddenly statics and starts to announce something. Curiosity overriding fear and confusion, you listen carefully.
"Greetings, (Insert your name here). Apologies for our rough manner of bringing you here, but there was no other way for us to extract you without alerting anyone else. Please remain calm while you listen to our explanation. We are the Faculty, an organization running the Arena, where you are now. From now on, you will be a warrior of the Arena, and you will battle creatures in our Arena. The creatures, unlike your 'real' animals, are mythical, as you would call them, whether originating from lore, mind, or even books and movies from your world. The battle ends when the creature is killed, unconscious, or tamed, and you will have five battles each time. This arena procedure is called a Melee, and a Melee day occurs randomly; you will not be alerted in advance. On the non-Melee days, you will train and prepare for the next one. For now, you have a week to get used to this faculty. You will be resident in this room, but free to travel around the faculty after eight o'clock in the morning and before nine o'clock in the night. We will be with you to get you ready-- get you dressed properly, give you additional utilities and information--shortly. Thank you."
The loudspeaker shuts off. You stare at the wall, processing the information.
And you wait.
Hi people! So... new RP, obviously. It's inspired by a really weird dream I had (EEK I LUCID DREAMT FINALLY IT WAS SO FUN). So, some extra information...
-The creatures they fight are ALL MYTHOLOGICAL, and they come from lore (mythology), books (real ones written by real authors), movie (again, real), and that stuff. They're created in a chamber at the center of the entire place, called the Lucid Chamber, where new creatures are generated whenever someone dreams about them in the whole world, which is very often.
-Time is frozen outside.
-All of them are given a change of clothing. Girls are given a crop top and skirt (length of their choice: midi, maxi, mini); boys are given a t-shirt and shorts. Both sets of clothing are in their chosen color. Skirts are skorts (with shorts attached underneath them) if the girls wish, and the skirt part of skorts is detachable.
-Before every Melee's battle, they are informed of the creature they will fight-- no background info, just the name of it and where it comes from-- and have a choice of weaponry/armor. The choices are spread out in the Armory Chamber, where they choose up to 5 things.
-Each Melee is completed either alone or with one more person-- usually with another person.
-The Faculty aren't evil to them or anything, and living conditions are actually pretty good.
-Once a month there's a Choosing Day, when people get to choose one of the tamed animals to keep. The chosen one is occasionally allowed to accompany them into the Melee as one of their items and allowed to spend time with them one day a week.
-The Faculty sometimes communicates with the warriors through dreams.
-Weapons don't include guns or tanks.
-Yes, your life is at huge risk in the Arena.
-More will be added to this list later.
-Standard RP rules
-Don't be your own best friend if you're sharing a room with them
-For every two girls made, there must be one boy made but you can make 2 girls and no third one, just if you make a third character it must be the opposite gender, and vice versa
-You can be promoted when I see that you understand the RP and its rules; once promoted you can RP without being accepted and accept other's bios
-No magical powers
-Please don't die, but you can get injured if you'd like
-No RPing until you're accepted
