Quirks Of Our Art ~
Hi there! Welcome to the "Quirks Of Our Art" studio! In this studio, we celebrate the amazing diversity in all of our art!
This studio is to celebrate the amazing uniqueness of all our different art styles!
At the moment, chibi, derp, anime and more styles of art dominate our web, and I've seen the effects of this on many Scratchers. So many people feel obliged to recreate the styles that many people view as "perfect". And this is great! We all feed off each other and continue to develop in every way we can.
But something is missing in this process. Originality. We can all agree that some of the best pieces of art distort this "perfect" vision, and encapture the mind of the artist.
This art is truly wonderful, and can take you on a mesmerising journey. How? Because it's new, it's different, and every piece of art is different from the moment it's created! It's time to step out of our bubble, to stop being 'Chained to the rhythm' and let our minds explore the depths of our imagination.
Hopefully, this studio will allow you to embark on a journey to finding your style and who you want to be.
Curators: Please add projects relevant to this message and help out in the comments ;)
Want to Curate?
We are inviting a few people currently who have demonstrated their willingness to embrace their creativity, who use tutorials for art as a guide instead of a must-use, users who have showed us respect and been helpful and kind.
Inspiring Messages From Our Curators/Managers:
~ Art is about creativity and being able to express ourselves through different mediums. Every piece of art, from a scribble to the Mona Lisa, has the potential and power to transform the world around it ^U^
~ Art is a beautiful, amazing thing. Art allows us to express a certain feeling to many people. It allows people to look at art, and feel something. Whether it is sad, happy, or angry, all art is beautiful in it's own way. <3
~ Art doesn't require talent or skill. It just requires time and dedication.
~ Use your art to show what inspires you. Use it to express what is meaningful to you and what you want to see in the world. Use it to change people's opinions. Use it for the greater good of the world. If you want to be a scientist, use it o document what you are seeing. If you want to become a reporter, draw what you are reporting! Draw what you love and what you dislike to change the world.
~ Art is like clay; you can form it into anything you'd like, and do whatever you'd like with it. The best art is normally shown from the depth of our heart and emotions, and expressions to all sorts of things. A tip? Draw how YOU would draw, not how another one would :)
