Black cats. Lots of people like them. I do! They are one of my favorite kinds of cats. Now, I'm pretty sure that anyone reading this can admit that they have heard the tales of "unlucky" black cats. Well, lots of people still believe in it. (I know a couple!) Black cats get euthanized in kill shelters most often just because some people won't adopt them because of the superstition. Think about it: Black cats getting killed just because of their fur color? It's just like if some people getting killed just because their skin or hair color is different. (That's like cat racism!! D:<) Black cats are special in their own way and despite the superstition, many families enjoy a little black fluff ball as part of the family. And even in some parts of Asia and Europe, black cats are considered good luck. Please, if you are planning to get a cat, please think about getting a black cat. Also, August 17th is Black Cat Appreciation Day!!!!
