This studio is to remember Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the Star Wars films. Please leave your comments of respect, ask to be a curator or send me a link of a Carrie Fisher project that you feel should be in the studio.
She had a heart attack on Friday 23rd December 2016 on a plane flight from London to LA. Carrie had been to a book signing in London to sign copies of her book. She was travelling back to her family. Carrie was in intensive care at Christmas, her family and beloved dog beside her. Her Mother later told press that her daughter was in a stable condition and thanked everyone for their kind comments of support.
But Carrie was announced to be dead on the 27th December 2016, shocking many people and breaking the hearts of many Star Wars fans (definitely including me). Tributes came pouring in, including from people such as Warwick Davis (played Wicket the ewock in Star Wars), Mark Hamill (played Carrie's onscreen brother Luke Skywalker), George Lucas (the creator of Star Wars), and Harrison Ford (played Carrie's onscreen love Han Solo in Star Wars).
Her mother, Debbie Renolds, died the day after, her last words being "I want to be with Carrie".
Carrie was 60 when she died, and Debbie was 84.
When watching the Last Jedi, her dog recognized her. Her dog, Gary, also had a cameo in the film, as an alien. Carrie also appears in the film, because she filmed scenes before she died.
