Technically, we should be giving some cat information here... ;) Cats are pedigree, non pedigree, and foreign! This also means that you can get two or three types of cat, longhair and shorthair. I would suggest a shorthair because you should only have to groom them once a week, whereas you have to groom a longhair literally every day, because they shed a lot more hair. And they aren't really active, so if you're a sports person, longhairs are the opposite kind of cat!
