Invite everyone on Scratch to remember a tragic event in the world's history.
And not just remember. Bring justice to the millions of people who were killed in cold blood.
People were stuffed into cattle cars. They were sorted into groups depending on whether they looked strong enough to do labor for those who stole their lives. Those who weren't were killed immediately, and those who were? They were worked to their deaths. In the end, almost all of them were slaughtered, and those left behind were traumatized for life.
Antonio Iturbe says it all in his book, "The Librarian of Auschwitz." Let me quote:
“In Auschwitz, human life has so little value that no one is shot anymore; a bullet is more valuable than a human being.”
