NOTE: We are not attacking Fandom in general, but rather, the darker sides of it which are dominating just about everything now. Such as extreme violence, inappropriate content, unmentionables ETC. Which often appear in fanart/fiction. And how this affects the mind and personality.
I know what your thinking, how can you dislike Fandom? ITS AMAZING! Well, if one were to take a better look, they would see that they are wrong in some ways.
When was the last time you read this amazing book, what about that epic movie franchise that just came out, or your favorite video game? There are so many fictional worlds created. And about five or so years ago, a thing known as "Fandom" showed up on the internet. A system about enjoying fiction in a whole new way.
Fandom involves the creation of OCs, or original characters, and writing your own stories set in pre-made worlds, that sounds pretty cool right? And it IS, or at least until things got much darker.
Nowadays, much of Fandom involves drawing EXTREMLY violent art, with tons of blood and death and things much worse, and if its not VIOLENT, its , to levels INAPPROPRIATE so high I cannot describe. Then there is SHIPPING, which is sorta like digital matchmaking with fictional characters. People quickly began making really nasty ships like.
Child and adult
Relative to Relative
Toxic (two people who would certainly just beat each other)
And finally, there are so many Fangirls/boys who are INSANE because of the addiction that Fandom is, they are seriously addicted no doubt.
In the end, this side of Fandom is really nasty, creates dark images and actions in young people. Overall, try to stick with the normal fandom. And avoid diving really deep into it.
