∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙ ☽ ❧ ☾ ∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙ A trio of doors shimmer into view at the base of the cloud-like staircase, each seemingly inviting in its own way. The Bearers invite you to follow them through a door of your choice before each vanishing behind their own doorway. You tentatively decide to follow Moonlit, wondering what awaits you on the other side. As you step through the doorway, everything goes black. You fall through the darkness, trying not to scream and attempting to find comfort in the knowledge that you've done this before. Just as you start to wonder if you'll never reach the bottom, you hear a soft sound. A comforting sound... the turning of pages. You feel your feet gently touch the ground, and you close your eyes for a moment, inhaling the scent of fresh paper. As you open your eyes and survey the circular room that surrounds you, you hear a cheerful voice call out, "Welcome to the Storyscape! It's a bit like a library... you'll see." You spin around to see Moonlit gesturing for you to come join her on a dark blue couch. She reaches for a book and offers it to you. You take it from her, surprised by its weight. "Open it," Moonlit says, smiling. Your eyes widen with wonder as you heed her command. A castle is slowly assembling itself it front of you, as if the words contained by the book have come alive. You can’t help but reach out to feel it, and are surprised to find it to be tangible. Looking up towards the enormous palace doors, you see a young girl emerge from the castle as you feel a page turn beneath your hand. You glance over at Moonlit as the girl begins to speak, and she smiles. “You’re welcome to stay and watch,” Moonlit says. “The Storyscape is one of the Rift’s three main refuges.
