READ THE WHOLE THING PLEASE
Okay. So you may not care about this issue but I do, and I’m almost 100% positive that most of you girls out there do too, and maybe some guys! The issue is sexism and the fact that guys objectify girls all the time. For example, this one dude asked me out and said the only way he’d be my boyfriend was if I sent him a pic of myself... this issue is happening all around the world and I wanna fight back. Sorry if you don’t want to, but if you want to help, start doing little things. Help spread awareness, like if you see, or hear, about someone being objectified please reach out to an adult or one of the people on here that cares. We would love to help and support feminism everywhere. If you need advice on anything at all please feel free to reach out and ask! (Sorry if you don’t do this sorta thing but I think Scratch needed it)
Please share your stories, add people and help others!
Okay: people keep saying: ‘this isn’t on the men’s side either!’ So imma add one:
Guys go though the same thing, their laughed at for crying, being short and looking different, most guys actually are really nice even though some girls are sexist against them as well, it’s not fair, also guys who are gay or something similar are looked down upon even more, like in some places being gay can get you killed. It’s stupid, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, should be treated the same, no matter how you look, your sexuality, class, race, gender and anything else people look down upon anyone for. So please, even if you are a guy, or a girl, or gender neutral, gender fluid, or go by something else, whatever your pronouns are, just...treat people equally, and I know I’m not a guy, but I have so many friends who are guys who are looked down upon by others
Oh and one more POV:
People who are none binary/go by something other than Male/female:
They, I have to say, get just as much hate, especially from people who are fully believing that if you don’t follow life’s path your just creating sins for yourself, but that’s not true, the people who break the gender rules are amazing, just as much as any nice human/entity out there. My grandmother, for example, when my BFF came out they where none binary and bisexual, kicked her out of the house and said if I spoke to them ever again I’d be Satan’s property. A lot of people aren’t that extreme but similar
ANOTHER ISSUE IS people getting thrown out practically by their family because of their gender, like someone on here @money0118 knows someone who was put up for adoption because their family wanted a daughter and he was a guy.
Someone brought this up! @RosieUwU2, she said “but aren’t boys being called objects also?” And yes, they are, some girls who just want money will date any guy just to get into his wallet (literally), they most of the time are stuck up, they may think of something like ‘oh my moms in the hospital’ or something and that has a chance of being true, but still, guys also can sometimes be treated like objects and it’s not good!
I just wanna say something to everybody saying that boys are being objectified: While you're TECHNICALLY right, it's a much bigger problem for girls. It's like the argument that Black Lives Matter is noninclusive because all lives matter. It's TECHNICALLY TRUE, but SPECIFICALLY Black Lives are the ones being devalued. As a MALE ASIAN AMERICAN, I can say on both fronts that discrimination isn't as bad for males or for minorities other than black people.
My story...By @ELLER2-So 3 years ago i was walking to a nearby store with my friend (Ill just name her emma cause privacy reasons)So anyways,we were walking down to a nearby store when my ipod started to make a beeping noise. I checked it and it was from someone i dont know. So i asked"Hi?Who are you?" Then they said-"You may not know me but i just wanna say i like you! Will you be my gF?"Of course i said no but they continued asking until i said stop. They said "please"Then i said-"No leave me alone!Im not even that old! I'm only 9!"(I was 9 at the time)But he still asked me and he asked to show him a picture of me and I said, "If I do,will you leave me alone?" He said maybe. So i showed him and he said-"EW! YOUR SO UGLY! WHY DID I EVEN LIKE YOU?!"So then i said to my friend"I wanna go home..."She said okay. So we went back to our house i went into mine not saying a word to my parents or sister i went into my sisters room and started crying but eventually i stopped because i had no more tears left (This guy said other things im not gonna say them tho)But my parents thought i was asleep so i did fall asleep and i woke up and my parents couldn't tell i was crying because i went downstairs into the bathroom and put makeup on to hide it. then i went on the day normal. Then my sister said-"Why were you crying?" .Thank you for listening...
WOMEN ARE NOT OBJECTS!!
