So you can NEVER have enough help, and I am trying to help get the community back to what it was before.
We all know that before Scratch 3.0, the Scratch community was thriving with all of its kindness and followers being called "friends". Thats where it all started. Now since its called "Followers," all people are worried about is getting that follower count up. (Its also when the bruh moment term f4f started) When it was called friends, it was simply the list of friends you have made on this website. As you know, @Rae-TV has helped A TON on slowly making this community better. PLEASE view and/or love and fave as many projects as you can.
What the goal for #STP is:
-HELP AS MUCH AS HUMANLY/ALIENLY POSSIBLE
-Maybe still keep it as followers, but let the community know that it DOUBLES as a friend list.
-End the term f4f
-Respect everyone the same
-Make this community what is was again.
Thank you, and add all the projects you want :)
"Ive been on scratch for 2 years. I joined at the end of 2018. Scratch was amazing. You didn't see advertising, f4f, or spam. It was awesome. in the begining of 2019 things started going wrong. You started seeing f4f a ton more. Ads started. But it wasn't that bad. It was still "scratch Imagine Program Share". In the middle of 2019 the toxic wave (as i like to call it) happened. No one is sure why but a bunch of people join scratch. And with them joined all the toxicety. I joined back into scratch in early 2020. The first thing I noticed was trending and how freaking broken it was. 2nd thing I noticed was that people were addicted to getting more followers. F4f was now practicly illegal. I learned that he hard way- Nvm. The thing that changed the most though was (sadly) people were being jerks! I didn't understand until "the scratch hero" @Rae-TV, explained everything to me. t was sad, I mean SAD. Okay so now we come to today, Here is what has changed. F4f is used not as much (still alot). Ads are 50% of scratch. Trending is slightly fixed. But the thing that has changed the most is the clout absesing. People are so obsessed that they don't understand scratch is a coding site meant for sharing, programming, and a little bit of browsing. But now people look at scratch as a race for follows. This isn't right. We need to fix it. Thats why I hope that the STP movement will change scratch, For good. We can only hope for a better and brighter 4.0!" - @TimeIsATheif
