✰ Welcome to Fallen Stars! ✰
If you're here, it means you've crossed over somehow. We try not to remember that here ;)
Everyone here is dead except for the mediators, who serve in the Shining Stars- where you know as Los Angeles in the living world. Both our realms are closely tied. When someone dies in Shooting Stars, they become a Fallen Star and cross over here. And here we are.
〚 The Entrance Gate 〛
This is the only was in and out of Fallen Stars. The winding paths lead to other ghost towns (Pun intended) and one out of the many lead to our alternate living world- you already know -Shooting Stars. We don't have many citizens here, just because we recently separated from San Deadgo (I mean- why wouldn't we? The puns of that city started growing on me..) Currently, we're still looking for Entrance Gate guards.
It's likely you died with a loved one still in the living world, and we don't discriminate any sense of grief or longing to see them again, which is why we have our visiting office! Every ghost is allowed to travel to the living world on the 9th of each month, but you must stay with your cohort.
Each cohort is led by a mediator, whom is not quite living, nor dead. They're called spirits (which are different than ghosts!). They have a normal, transparent form in Fallen Stars, but in Shooting Stars, they appear as living.
◌ About Ghosts ◌
Ghosts are meant to be balanced and hold harmony. There are three types of ghosts:
Red Dwarves ➸ They can shift from completely invisible- even to ghosts- to solid. All ghosts can't simply walk through doors in Fallen Stars like they're described to be able to, but Red Dwarves can make themselves completely inert. Note that your codeword is the date of your arrival (The actual date today- which currently is 10/19/20)!
White Dwarves ➸ They're able to fly despite the realistics of our world. Or, they're able to interact with objects in the living world, although not directly. (Can blow out a match, or scare a squirrel. Can rustle tree leaves, but can't necessarily lift up something.)
Supernovae ➸ The lifeline of ghosts. Usually when one crosses over, they sort of restart their life. They don't have their previous abilities when living, although they share personalities and appearance with their living version. But all changes from their original form (highlights in hair, makeup, acting) is all taken away. For example, if you've practised basketball your whole life and died a professional player, you'd be brought into Fallen Stars without your previous practise abilities. However, supernovae carry their abilities into the world and are often the entertainment centres of Fallen Stars.
Note that all types of ghosts must be in balance! There can't be more Red Dwarves than Supernovae, or vice versa. Your ghost type is chosen upon your arrival, and by nature- not by choice.
JOB MARKET: Looking specifically for Entrance Gate Guards, Visiting Office Secretaries, and Mediators, although everyday jobs do apply, aswell. Also remember that our alternate world is LA, so many jobs can be glamorous!
