In a realm of magic, gods, and wonders, there’s bound to be some corrupt force, using their supernatural abilities against others.

That would be the case in Wulerhia. Wulerhia has for a long time been one nation, standing together. However, the mages have always stayed on their own continent and the islands surrounding it, so that they may experiment and cast their spells as they wish.
One of these great experimentors was Onyx Dragonclaw. Onyx experimented and learned day and night, reading about all he could in the field of magic, and one field in particular interested the young mage.
Dark magic. Forbidden magic, and finding the books on it was so rare as to be nearly nonexistent. But... he found and collected them all. He took over the Mage’s continent, and is making plans to take over the neighboring continent, too.

And now your story unfolds. Are you a commoner, wanting to stay out of this mess, or are you a legendary paladin trying to fight and protect your own continent and stop Onyx from taking over? Or are you one of Onyx’s magi, seeking power and freedom to cast dark spells as you please?

Random notes:
Communication is done through letters or messages sent by enchanted pigeons. These birds can perfectly relay words spoken by the sender. This was one of the first spells made, so it’s been perfected to take almost no magical ability or energy.

The language spoken is called common. It’s English.
The Divine Tongue is a rare language that few speak fluently. It is quite literally a mix of old Norse and icelandic, and very few know it even exists.

[OLD] The Dragonclaw Empire is suspicious of a possible double-agent among them. They are essentially on Lockdown for the time being. All staff in the castle are being interrogated.

[OLD] A small outpost by the channel between the continents was attacked and taken by the Dragonclaw Empire. The attack was swift and in the middle of the night, giving the dark mages and knights an edge, however they seemed somehow prepared.
