── inktober 2020 ✎
this is a scratch studio for the popular worldwide social media challenge! inktober is a month-long challenge during october where everyone tries to create and share one ink drawing every day. each day also has a theme to help give you ideas of what to ink.
the challenge was originally created by jake parker in 2009, however the previous inktober studio, created by @-totallyepic-, is now inactive, so i've decided to revive it.
let us know in the comments if you are participating. you may also ask to be invited.
── what is it? ✎
each day of october, you'll be drawing a sketch using just one color — as you would with a plain old ink pen. most people choose black (and use actual ink), but you can use any color you like! This is a challenge that leans on rules but is high on creativity!
this is the original inktober website, i'd suggest checking it out if you're interested:

── some notes ✎
many artists are boycotting the prompt list jake parker put out this year, because jake tried to copyright inktober, which is supposed to be a community event, and copied another (poc) artist's book for his inktober book.
these artists are coming up with their own prompt lists and you can totally do that! inktober is just as valid, even if you choose to use your own prompts!
