The upcoming US presidential election is November 3, 2020
Most US citizens over the age of 18 are eligible to vote.
Joe Bidens main opponent in the election is current President Donald Trump, the nominee for the Republican Party, alongside his running mate, Mike Pence.
No US presidential candidate has won without running for president as part of the Democratic or Republican parties since 1853.
As such, the nominees for those parties are considered by many to be the main candidates for president in the upcoming election.

IF YOUR CONFUSED ABOUT THAT, HERES WHY THATS IMPORTANT DURING THIS ELECTION:
Current President Donald Trump, and his practically self appointed Postmaster General for the United States Postal Service (USPS), (the only postal service that can legally postmark an election ballot in the US), is having mail slowed down to cause many ballots to not be counted. This is being done in order to give Trump an edge in the election since many major polls are showing he is likely to lose to Joe Biden. This will not only affect the election, but has already caused all USPS mail to arrive days/weeks late, or even not at all. Additionaly many post offices are understaffed, and as such already have it bad enough trying to deal with lots of mail.
