pigeon: To be fair, she's not really wrong. Mandrakes, or Mandragora, first appeared in the Chamber of Secrets, Chapter Six. The name was first mentioned on Page 91, to be exact. Mandrakes were first described as, "... a small, muddy, and extremely ugly baby popped out of the earth. The leaves were growing right out of its head. He had pale green, mottled skin, and was clearly bawling at the top of his lungs."
