This is for the artists of the KOTLC Movie!

Hello artists! Glad to have you on the crew. I am a director, and a scriptwriter as well. Our job needs to work closely with the programmers to make sure it works.
If at any point you think what we're doing isn't working, or you have a better idea, please speak up! I want this movie to go as smoothly as possible, and I get that my ideas might not be the best ones.

We work with the programmers at:
    https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/25755972/

To break up the job into managable tasks (and since people can be really hard to draw), I came up with some jobs that I think will work.

The first job, is general character drawing. These people draw the general shape of the characters. I think to make animating easier, I think it would be best if these people had styles similar to @worldwinner101; with no outlines, and simple shapes for arms and legs.
I think the general characters need to be drawn in two views to start. Front facing (Looking directly at the "camera") and a three-quarters view. (looking towards the corner, if that makes any sense)

The second job is character expressions. These people draw the character's faces, and how they look when having each major emotion. I'm not sure what style would be best for this, but it shouldn't be too complicated. Most of the expressions will have to be tweaked by the animators to fit each individual scene, and if the faces have too many parts (Although I'm sure it would make them beautiful) That might be hard.
The expressions that need to be drawn (This is just off the top of my head, feel free to add a couple if I'm missing any) are: Neutral, Happy, Sad, Angry, Scared, Embarrassed, Confused.

The third job, is clothing designers. Since the characters are usually wearing something different in every scene, this job is important. Here, I don't think the style matters too much. Try to keep things relatively simple, (animators often have to change shapes of clothes to fit the environment, like if there's a lot of wind) but make sure things fit their descriptions. (i.e. if the description says the outfit is complex, then don't be afraid to make it a little less simple than normal)

Most objects will just be a task of thier own, because most of them are relatively simple.

Below are the tasks that need to be done.

For backgrounds, there are also several different jobs. These have to be done in order.

The first job is Background color blocking. These artists give a general color scheme, and set where the horizon line is, and stuff. They work with 4 or 5 colors, and if they want, they can use gradients to make the scene have a natural feel to it.

The second job is background object blocking. These artists draw things like trees and flowers (when the scene is outside), or decorative vases, and paintings on the wall (if the scene is inside). They don't have to worry about shading if they're not good at it. (unless they want to, then they can)

The third job is background shading. These artist shade anything that needs to be shaded. This job is tricky, because they don't want to overdo it, and need to think about where the light is coming from to make the scene look natural.

The fourth job is background fine tuning. These artists go over the scene, and adjust anything that might make it look strange, like if something is the wrong size, or might look better a little more to the left.

    Background tasks:
(descriptions can be found in chapter 3)

empty parking lot Object blocking (I'd like you to add some buildings in the background, and maybe a car, even though it says empty, I think one car might make it look more natural) -

Ocean castle color blocking - @DragonCatSloth
