Welcome to the Words of Advice, the sequels to the Messages of Hope. They're a little different, but the same basic idea- a message I need to share with you all.
You've had a bad day. Everything's going wrong, and it's only been getting worse. So what do you do? Hide.
Don't let them see your face. Don't let them know you're there. If they notice something's wrong, they'll ask about it. As long as they don't ask...you won't have to explain.
Life is one big game of hide-and-seek. Right now, you're hiding. Seekers are far away, and when they come near, you make sure not to draw attention to yourself. You don't trust yourself to make a sound, but when you have to, it's surprisingly inconspicuous. Who knew you were so good at hiding?
But as time draws on, you begin to be frustrated with the seekers. They still haven't found you...are they even trying? Are they even looking for you? Do they even care about you at all? Though you're doing your best not to let them see, your disguise isn't THAT good...and you can't help but think that if they cared, you'd be found.
Seekers come near, and stay near. Maybe they call your name. Maybe they find you...but what if they don't? What if you're so deep in your own head that their words of comfort mean nothing? They did care enough to look, but not enough to see. It changes nothing. Your problems are still there. At this point, there's only one other option.
Hide and seek isn't fun if you hide too well. There's only one thing you can do if you want it to be fun again. Get found. Reveal yourself. Join the seekers and pull others out of their hiding places. I promise, THAT never gets old ;)
So what's my word of advice?
"Come out of hiding! Life is a lot more fun as a seeker."
