Would you stoop to my level if you had no emotions?
Would you take away the lives of your family members so you can be rid of those you hate?
... To be with your family forever, in a void.
Away from everyone else they love. But you love no one else.
My name... is Chara.
And I would.
A few decades ago, I was alive.
That may not be a shock to the uneducated person. However, my living was a miracle. Humans were considered a great pest in the Underground and were killed on sight, and not even taking into account the fact that I was the first human they'd seen in a while, I was in great danger.
However, I do not hold it against them. I despise humans as well.
They spared me because the prince Asriel(A great deal younger than me) found me before they did, and he liked me. I liked him.
His people and his parents couldn't touch me, because I was his single friend.
I ended up being, instead of an outcast waiting for the day I'm inevitably killed, protected and accepted as a monster.
Simply because the prince took a liking to me, I lived.
For a while.
I died once.
Oh! I'm still dead, actually.
I was poisoned. I'm still not sure who did it, but I figured out why.
That's for later, though.
When I was 15 and Asriel was 8, I fell sick from poisoning. It was terrible timing. I was planning to ask the young boy to help me in a... plan of mine. To save the monsters.
I planned to do it anyway, despite it being unexpectedly early, but I failed to inform Asriel of the change.
Doctor Gaster had given me an injection to make me forget I was dying, and stop the pain at the same time.
I suppose Asriel couldn't have had my Soul anyway.
One night, as I was on my way to death, I saw a boy.
He looked like the Perseverance Soul that had been killed along with his sister, the Integrity Soul. He wanted me to come closer. I obliged, and he took me in his arms, telling me to sleep.
I woke up in an area, void of any color or objects. Only six humans talking among themselves.
Bravery, Justice, Kindness, Patience, Integrity, and Perseverance;
Andrew, Viktor, Mimi, Helen, Ellie, and Vincent, respectively.
They're mostly nice, I guess. Except Mimi and Viktor. Perhaps I'll discuss our relationships in a [QnA?] in the future.
Now, you see. These humans were killed. I was killed. We're all dead. It appears the only reason we "lived" were due to my Determination and their links to their Souls, which still live in capsules. However, they are practically emotionless, and I am literally emotionless at this point.
We needed a plan. They had used up all their remaining DT to appear to me and drag me there, which also caused my Soul to collapse and break in an instant.
The only thing keeping me alive was the sheer amount of Determination I possessed, which lived after the death of my Soul.
Which meant I could go into the real world.
I had a plan.
It wasn't the most ethical one.
It involved, err, killing several people. Six people, to be specific.
My mother, father, and brother, as well as the royal scientist and his children.
I would have just killed my family, but I needed six Souls.
Before you ask why I've sunk so low, I will explain. The humans are emotionless wrecks. I am an emotionless wreck.
If we were to obtain a full soul, we would come to life again. If I were to kill six people, I could bring the other humans to life and be alone with my family...
Dead and Soulless, sure. But we'd be together. Forever. Free of other people who don't care.
Free of my true parents. Free of humans. Free of life.
Eternal death in eternal bliss, watching the world go by while you endlessly chat in a void where no one bothers you but the people you want there.
Sounded like something wonderful to me.
However, the other humans wouldn't have that. So I lied to them about my plan.
I told them the "killing people for Souls" things, but obviously left out that I was doing it just to kick them out.
It would take them a long time to figure it out, anyway.
It takes ten years for my Determination to become strong enough to take someone from the living world... and it takes a little longer every time.
It MUST be consensual; that is, they must deliberately come with me.
I must beckon them towards me and find some way to get them to take my hand, and they are mine.
Asriel went first, then the royal scientist, W. D. Gaster. His children were left alone, and Toriel adopted them into her family.
They got along rather nicely, I think. Mom and Dad got over me and Asriel's deaths, though occasionally I remind them of me...
Which brings me to the third attack.
My next victim was Sans, Gaster's eldest child. He didn't come.
He had seen the recordings in the lab from when his father was taken. He knew some spirit had done it.
He didn't come with me. Ten years WASTED.
And he told them. He told them all. No one will come with me anymore, I'm sure.
That's when Frisk fell.
