You're sitting on a cliff beside the ocean, the wind blowing through your hair. The sea sparkles like sapphires and is flecked with pearl-white foam. You sigh happily, content.
Suddenly, you see a flash of a long green tendril flicker out of the water. Thinking it was your imagination, you crane forwards, then gasp in shock. Another tendril, and another. But they're not tendrils. They're tentacles. A giant squid-like face is illuminated in the water, and the skies grow dark with stormy clouds. "A Kraken!?" You gasp, shocked, as the huge squid formerly thought to merely exist in sailor's legends reared up, its humongous tentacles nearly slapping the cliff face.
You turn and run as fast as you can, breathing hard, trying to escape the mythical creature. You run faster and faster until the sound of ocean waves slapping against the outcropping of rock fades into the distance, along with the strange hissing of the Kraken.
You find yourself in woods and slow to a stop, wondering where your terror has led you.
Walking a little further, you come to an old-looking but decent log cabin, with moss growing on it's sides but embellished with the look of a sturdy establishment. Just then, the door opens and a girl with reddish-blonde hair and sharp green eyes appears at the doorway with a smile. "Hello." she says cheerily. Still recovering, you gasp out, "I saw a Kraken! I thought such things don't exist!" The girl ushers you inside and closes the door, revealing a cabin filled with bookshelves, books, comfy velvet chairs and tall old-fashioned lamps with a plate of cookies on an old wooden table. She smiled. "Here in the Mythology cabin, you will find much formerly considered to be mythical is real."

I know some may be confused of the distinction between Fantasy and Mythology, so here are some rules/writing prompts. :D
Fantasy-related content will not be discriminated, but here's the idea :D (I'm as new to this as you are, not being bossy or anything ;P)
When writing, it is wished and most likely will be be presented Pendants for, stories that have a person discovering/interacting with formerly thought mythical creatures. A secret organization, perhaps? A catastrophic event?
Also, it would also be nice/awarded Pendants for to set it in a historical time back when sailors or somebody else first experienced the creature, written almost as a tale. In the end no one would probably believe them, and maybe there would be consequences :D
Your story MUST have at least one mythical creature. It may be well-known, (Dragons, Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, Pegasus, Mermaids...) or not very known, (Kraken, Kitsune, Peryton, etc.). You may also write a story from the mythical creature's point of view.
Note: Dinosaurs do not count!
If you are wondering whether an idea will fit the description, please post it in the studio comments! :D
Be friendly and supportive, and don't be afraid to discuss ideas, no matter how stupid you may think they are! :D (Pssst, if you don't know a good creature/enough about it, go ask @Theperytonwhisperer ! She's a walking mythology library, and she'd be happy to help :D She's the best ;P)
