-------------- INTRO ----------------
This is a group and COMMUNITY for Scratchers who want to help each other!
The studio comments will be used as our group forum.
We are an INTERNATIONAL studio; that means you can communicate in any languages here!
------------ WHAT WE DO ------------
As a studio, we would be happy to view any projects you link us to and give constructive FEEDBACK, help with scripts, and ideas/things to add. Since there are so many of us, chances are that someone will be knowledgable in the field you need help with! We'll give feedback and motivation to Scratch on, to learn and to have fun. We also are happy to help with PRIZES for contests that demote fame trade- such as art/music/writing requests or project reviews! Just comment and we'll do what we can.
This system we are building up here is meant as the opposite and solution of "fame trade" (follow for follow, "free" love-its or faves, ...) to help Scratchers getting the attention they deserve without getting trapped in a very misleading and un-scratch-like spirit of fame-collecting.
We also try to demote BULLYING.
If you are being cyberbullied, it is a serious issue that should be dealt with by an adult. If someone's just been a little rude to you or you're in a bad mood, please ask one of our friendly curators and they'd be glad to help cheer you up! A list of members can be found under the Curators tab (http://scratch.mit.edu/studios/237091/curators/). If someone posts mean comments or projects, report them (learn more here: http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Report). Remember, if there is any problem, you can also ask your parents or teachers for help.
-------------- RULES ---------------
If you spend time to give CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK, and encourage people by offering "likes" to their projects, when you feel they need encouragement, or if you just want to support our idea, you could be a goodwill Scratcher with us.
- You are active on Scratch and are willing to help.
- You browse projects and post comments, suggestions, and encouragements on them.
- Each time you notice BULLYING or rude comments, you should report it to the Scratch Team.
- You try by all the legal means to promote kindly respect in Scratch and demote too much COMPETITION SPIRIT (that can be good sometimes, but has reached a far too high level on Scratch)
-------- MEMBERS FAQ ------------
Suggest as many Scratchers as curators as you can, but only highly trustworthy Scratchers, and if you are sure they agree with everything in these studio notes. This studio is collective, no sole owner, so you can take action for it.
Our forum topic is here: http://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/30482/ . If you have any ideas about what to add, just post them :) Ideas for promoting signatures are always welcome, too!
What do we put in this studio?
We have to discuss about it, but it seems that projects promoting the good spirit in Scratch or promoting the studio itself would be a good idea. Please refrain from adding projects concerning past and current Scratch 'wars' for reasons of peace.
Can I manage?
We ask about who to promote to managers once in a while, and you can suggest other curators to manage if you are a curator.
What else can I do?
You could help out at the @welcomingcommittee
