It’s the twenty-second century.
The largest epidemic in the history of mankind has spread across the entire world, turning everyday human beings into monstrous creatures, cannibalistic and completely bloodthirsty. These mutants, however, are not exactly zombies. They are as fast and smart as their still-human bodies allow, able to function fairly normal except for their sadistic urges. Ever since the USA had heard of this epidemic, they began to plan out the ensured survival of the human race. The solution?
The Last Day Requiem.
The government carefully chose fifty to one hundred teenagers from every state, each adolescent a valuable treasure. With the help of worldwide resources, they built several Bunkers, large and luxurious living spaces that were buried over a hundred feet underground and meant to last three hundred or so years, each able to hold up to fifty people.
By the time the Virus reached the USA, these teenagers were already undergound, hidden away from danger that threatened to wipe out humanity. Tasked with the goal of surviving long enough until the Infected kill each other off, each survivor is also meant to have a role in the next generation of mankind.
Everything goes perfectly well, that is, until a few water and food supply malfunctions, forcing ten Bunkers to open up a hundred years early.
