As some of you may know, I am creating a text-based game.
Here I will update you on the progress, and get ideas for what to do if I'm stuck.
I have barely made ANYTHING of the story, which I really should.
Anyway, here's my progress so far.
Title: Done, but you won't see it yet ;)
Text enginge: Done!
Typing engine: I've made up a system where it will read each individual word instead of reading all the words as one. The maximum amount of words you need is 4, so I really only need it to read 4 words. Simple enough, I guess? But there is still no backspace.
Story: 0.1 or something
Background music: Currently 100% as I have made music for the 2 areas I have.
Thumbnail: Wait, I'm supposed to have that?
Other stuff I find out that I need to make in case I forget to write them here: 0%
Estimated publish date: Late 2019-early 2020
It's an adventure game. You have to find your way home after mysteriously waking up in a cave. Get home safely. Avoid the dangers. More information + spoilers down below.
WARNING: I'm going to write the story and ideas here, which inculde fairly important actions such as a crucial one to get the good ending. IF YOU WANT TO FIND THIS OUT BY YOURSELF, DON'T READ PAST THIS POINT!
Ok, the player wakes up in a cave.
They can see lights through some cracks, like the sun is right outside there. The player has to destroy the cracks, creating an exit. But when they step out, it's the middle of the night and they can't see. Stuff happens, and they find an old house. In the old house, there's a mysterious book they have to pick up. The player picks up the book, which has lots of useful stuff in it like magic. The player uses it to their advantage, to progress the story. At one point, the player has to put down the book to pick up an axe. If they put the book down where the axe is, the book will fall down a ravine. this is SUPPOSED to happen. The player uses the axe instead of the book now. The player ends up in that same ravine, trying to get away from a ghost-girl thing. The player sees the book, and has to use a spell in it. When the player first finds the book, there is a bookmark in it, where it says something about this creature. The player uses the spell, defeats the creature, gets out of the ravine, meets some people and goes back home.
