Instructions

Just click the green flag to see the timezone we think you're in!

Probably will be a zone out in the summer... (which could be fixed by checking the date)

Notes and Credits (added by Tropic)

CREDITS:
- Original made by @gtoal :)

What I've added/changed:
- Made it easier to transfer (using the backpack) to another project :)
- Removed unnecessary scripts.

NOTES & CREDITS - written by @gtoal:

Images courtesy of http://www.timeanddate.com/time/map/ - an excellent resource if you want to know more about time zones.

( I'ld like to add a daylight map, as in http://time.gov/ or http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/sunearth.html )

This program came about as a result of a Scratch 'feature' that caused a problem with Deck26's program: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/41900380 - what is probably a bug allows us to guess your timezone! (This is called 'data leakage' in the Information Security world :-) )

[The 'days since 2000' block does not respect the timezone, and also returns a decimal part which lets you work out the time of day]

TO DO: rename the images and fix the hack where I negate the time offset (I named them wrongly when I screencapped them); and modify the code to handle the International Date Line zone which has both +12 and -12. (Did you know there were actually 25 time zones?)
