To draw track click on the Draw Track button and then draw your track. once complete click on same button. Move the robot near the line and use the Rotate Robot button to line it up.
Click on the Start Follow button and watch the robot follow.
To use the avoider - click on Show Blocks and then arrange the blocks. If you click on a block it will rotate 45 degrees. You can drag the blocks around - just like the robot.
Now click on Avoid Blocks to watch the robot avoid. The distance is set at 60.
This is an Arduino robot simulator. the robot is a 4tronix initio robot. I teach robotics as part of my job - so this is designed to show pupils what you can do with Scratch and relate it to the robotics challenges we run. The Initio model we use has two line followers and a two IR sensors for obstacles. The most interesting part of this is the line follower which uses colors to detect whether the robot is on the track. This could be quite useful for us because it shows the principles of line following. The other thing is the block obstacles. You can arrange and rotate them and then start the robot running to try and avoid.
