This project shows a demonstration from class where one person rolls a ball towards the edge of a table and the other drops a ball right when the first ball starts falling from the table. If done correctly, the balls should hit the ground at the exact same time, as indicated in this project. This is because with two-dimensional motion, the variables are independent of each other. Both balls are accelerating downwards at 9.8 m/s/s. The first ball's horizontal velocity does not have any effect on when it reaches the ground.
