Sound Field Generator
This project is an attempt at creating an interactive sound field generator. To use it, you will need a web-camera enabled device. Also, this thing can get really loud, so turn your speakers down first.
As the camera detects changes (movement, lighting, etc.) in the vision field corresponding to the box or circle, sounds are triggered. The boxes are sound files (or varying lengths) and the circles are individual pitches of the C pentatonic scale.
Oh, this thing is loud, so turn down your speakers.
When you're ready, click on the green flag and allow flash to access you camera.
The entire experience is intended to creates an evolving and always new sonic experience. I hope to make it even more generative with more sounds and more complex coding (however, this is my first go at scratch, so this will do).
I would like to thank Isaac Bickmore for getting me interested in Scratch. I would also like to thank the entire ASU doctoral seminar group for helping me play around with this tech. Many thanks go to my wife for putting up with the noise this thing generated when I was building it (lots of meows).
