Tomodachi Island (UNFINISHED/UNRELEASED)
Really, I think you only need to click stuff in this game
Sorry for being gone for so long. School's starting up literally tomorrow, and unfortunately, I have a life. But! Here's a project I worked on around the time Tomodachi Life came out and I was into it. I wanted to make a mini, Scratch version of it, called "Tomodachi Island." (I don't mean to brag, but I really like that name) Unfortunately, I never got past the Mii Maker. Making it is surprisingly complicated!!!! I'm sure with enough dedication I could have completed it, but I just didn't have the motivation.
- Originally, I was going to have a day/night cycle, sensed by the "minute/second/hour" blocks in the Sensing tab. That never came to be because the costumes started getting annoyingly glitchy, and there was not much I could do about it. You can still check inside and see the backgrounds for it.
- Some of the things added were merely because I was too lazy to do any differently. For example, you can have crazy hair colors like green or purple because having a variable slider is easier than giving the player a set amount of hair colors to choose from.
- The characters were going to speak gibberish, because good text-to-speech is impossible in Scratch (actually, it's Japanese, but what's the difference right lol).
- My plans were to have 5 or 6 Miis possible, and of course being able to interact with them, a food and clothes shop, and locales like the beach, cafe, etc.
