Are clones worse for performance than individual sprites?
I dunno, clones are cleaner for my purposes when it comes to a lot of stuff, but they always seem to perform slightly worse than just having individual sprites.
Is it just me? Sometimes it seems like it's just in my head but I'm not sure. Perhaps I'm just not using clones correctly/efficiently. Anyone have any input?

The only setting I've experienced where clones lag a lot is when you try to fade a bunch of clones, but I don't know if that's what you're using…

^Thanks for the reply.
No, that's not what I'm doing. I'm just saying if I use clones instead of making x amount of sprites I need, I wonder if that's worse for performance. Maybe there's a slight delay when a clone is created vs. having the sprite already there.
