Deleting notifications

Whenever I go into my notifications I have a long page of them. Most are from last year. I try to delete them, but every time the page is reloaded they come back as if they weren't deleted.
There's also a suggestion I would like to make. If you ever received a comment or a reply in 1.4, the notification will take you to a page that will show only the comment/reply. In 2.0 it takes you to the project page and leaves it up to you to find the comment or reply. If the project is popular and you get the notification when you're sleeping, a popular project would get many more comments between the time you get the notification and the time you read it. That world make it hard to find the comment/reply the notification is about. Which would not be helpful if someone who commented needs a reply.

For the second part (linking to the specific comment/reply), I have already suggested that, and it will be implemented soon.

I think the delete feature was going to be removed. Supposedly in 2.0, there won't be any need to delete notifications.

Yep! Solutions to address both of these suggestions are in the works. Thanks!

Wait… Wouldn't that mean that you'd get like 100 notifications at once? and that would slow down the server.

Ah - this is going to be something that may be hard to convince people of, since Andres posted that notifications slow things down on the old site a long time ago, and a lot of people took it to heart.

Notifications won't slow down Scratch 2.0 - so there's no need to delete / remove them in any way. Please tell everyone you know.

You probably have ovar 9000. They just won't be unread. Now, ovar 9000 unread messages would be pretty difficult to get!

No, you just ignore the notifications and check all of your projects for new comments. XD

Please don't post on old, resolved topics. That is called necroposting and isn't allowed.
