Can you (and if so how) import scratch projects into one you made? the “upload from your computer” button will erase what you already have.

(also, if this is in the wrong section tell me. I did not know where to put it.)

Help appreciated

i think its the right section.

and you cant do that on 2.0 yet. if you coded it in 1.4, then merge the projects you need in 1.4 and then upload it to 2.0. sorry.

…in that case is there a way to turn 2.0 projects into 1.4?

uh sry nope

if the project contains 2.0 blocks then scratch will (probably crash) mess up in 1.4 because it doesnt recognize them. so any project made (or edited) in 2.0 is automatically assumed to contain those blocks and saves it as a different kind of file. if you uploaded it from 1.4 but didnt edit it if you go to the project page (with the comments and description) you can click on the “share to” tab and there will be a “download to 1.4” link.

Alternativley, you could save the assets (the scripts, costumes, and sounds are automatically saved when you save a sprite) to your computer and upload them into the other 2.0 project. i think to export them to your computer you need to right click (on windows, probably command-click on mac) on the sprite and click “export” from the menu that pops up. id create a folder and name it the name of the project and put all the assets in there. then on the new project click the folder icon on the “create a sprite” lineup of options with a up arrow coming out of it and pick the sprites.
