Maximum number of clones?

What is the maximum number of clones that can be included in a project? After about 301 combined clones, I can no longer create clones.

There is a 300 clone limit in Scratch 2.0.

Well - I believe the Scratch team intended a limit of 300, the real limit appears to be 301.

The limit is 300 clones + one original sprite for cloning

Nothing Is EVER 100%, that is just an assumption.
