Official Rigs Of Rods Topic (A vehicle simulator)

Rigs of Rods is an amazing open-source vehicle simulation. It comes with a limited set of cars and one terrain, but you can easily extend that to hundreds by downloading more from the repository. This topic is to discuss anything related to this simulation!

Here is the official trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRbQ4OaljWs

Amazing vehicle mods (zips that add vehicles to the game):
2008 KME Predator (a highly detailed fire truck)
Saftliner C2 Buses (a school bus pack, each bus in incredible detail)
Suzuki Samurai (for offroad driving)
Bluebird Vision buses (another school bus pack, also very detailed)
Ford F-series trucks (most Ford pickup trucks, includes trucks from 1976-1999)
BMW E39
1988-1998 Chevy/GMC truck pack
1995 Chevy Kodiak pack
Mercedes-Benz O305 Bus (the first electric hybrid bus in RoR!)

Will add cool terrain mods later.

I know, right! Have you downloaded the MitCity terrain? I think that one is my favorite. My favorite car in Rigs of Rods is probably one of the Ford F-series trucks or the Ford Windstar.

Look here: As you can see, the Ford Windstar failed the crash test:

I think I have 50 total terrains and about 150 total vehicles that I downloaded! BTW, what version do you have? I have 0.38.67 and 0.4.0.7 installed but I use the first one way more often.

I like the Ford Windstar because of the realistic engine sounds and the realism of damage.

I just made another screenshot: These are probably my 5 favorite cars in Rigs of Rods

From left to right: Dodge Magnum 4x4, 1986 Chevy G20, VW Van, 2003 Ford Windstar, 1949 Ford Tudor

This screenshot was taken in the MitCity terrain.

Looks awesome. Although the title reminds me of Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. If a game reminds you of Big Rigs, that's not a good sign.

I just looked that game up and I think if it was free and Rigs of Rods was a paid for program, it would be $100! That Big Rigs game should be freeware for that quality.

BTW, it's going for a whopping $90 on Amazon!

I have Rig of Rods on my computer. It's a cool game, but it's crashed a lot when I've tried it. Also, how do you make a terrain?

First, what are your specs? And what vehicle and terrain were you using? Also what version did you download?

About the terrain thing, it's really difficult, but there are tutorials here.

What are your specs? Some machines cannot run RoR as well as others.
