Greetings, leaders, and welcome, to the Leader Forum of Scratch Design Camp’s December 2026 session! Before we get started, we’d like to ask that you take just a few minutes to read through this post to get familiarized with how our camp works, whether or not you’ve led in a previous camp session before. Additionally, please confirm that you’ve followed this forum topic (the button on the top right corner) so that you get poked by the notifier bot whenever we decide to dish you an update stay informed on any new posts.
And on that note — if you are not leading SDC this session and did not receive a link to this forum directly, we ask that you kindly close off this tab… just to prevent any spoilers for the upcoming session. We thank you in advance for abiding to the 100% Official Scratch Camps Honor System™ :)
˚⊹ ꒦︶꒦꒷︶꒷꒦ ‧₊˚⊹ ꒷꒦︶꒦︶꒷꒦ ‧₊
And without further ado… here are our cabins and leaders for this session! A big round of applause to each and every one of you — your applications were, dare I say, absolutely scrumptious ;), and each brought us much enjoyment and anticipation for what the upcoming months will bring.
◦ Candy: @MaddiexWrytes
◦ Cookie: @chimerikal

❖ Choosing Co-Leaders
◦ This session, we recommend having 0-1 co-leader(s) per cabin. Since this is a smaller camp, we'll be enforcing that each cabin have no more than one co-leader to keep things balanced. Please notify one of the hosts on their profiles with whether or not you'd like to have a co-leader!
◦ You aren’t allowed to take back an offer, so don’t ask more than one person at once!
◦ Don’t choose based on who remixed first/you’re friends with, has more experience, or the amount of pending offers they have — every applicant has tons to offer and there are endless opportunities for an amazing collaboration with anyone.
◦ Please specify in your offer message for the pending co to wait at least 10 hours after leader results have been posted before accepting any offers! This is to prevent unfairness from leaders of different timezones offering at different times, as the order of offering, like sharing apps, should not determine your final decision.
◦ Once your co has accepted your offer, please send them a link to this forum in a discreet place and ask that they delete the comment once they’ve saved the link and followed the topic.
Here are all of your co-leader candidates…
◦ @cIementines- - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1388347407/
◦ @juliathecaesar - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1391296591/
Additionally, our beloved honorary gHost Skylar (@Milkysplash) has agreed to offer up her soul allegiance as a co-leader should a cabin require one and all co-leader candidates have accepted offers… Of course, as always, prioritize those who have created an application ^^.
˚⊹ ꒦︶꒦꒷︶꒷꒦ ‧₊˚⊹ ꒷꒦︶꒦︶꒷꒦ ‧₊
❖ Schedule
October 30 - Cabin blurb + symbol DUE
November 1 - Camper Signups OPEN
To be continued…
♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎
❖ Other Information
◦ Please refer to the next post for a helpful guide on setting up your cabins! We do have quite a short turnaround in terms of leader results , so you are by no means expected to have cabins completely finished by the time camper signups are shared - still, it would be great to have a bit of basic setup down so campers get a hint as to what to expect from you… ;)
◦ If unexpected circumstances come up and you will be forced to engage in a long (ie. a week or more) period of inactivity, simply contact a host and we may sort things out from there.
◦ When quoting a long post, please remember to snip! (ie. putting ‘snip’ in the quote box instead of preserving all of the original content) I’m sure none of us would be
◦ If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to reach out via this forum or on a host’s profile! (And of course, you’re more than welcome to drop by for a chat anytime even if you do not have a lingering inquiry - we promise we don't bite~)

◦ Thank you to other Scratch camps for their forums which this post was modelled off of!

Setting Up Your Cabins
You are free to start setting up your cabin at any point, though we’d like to ask that you to try your very best to have the basic setup down as soon as possible. Camper signups will be shared on July 1st, so it’d be great if you could have at least the studio, title and thumbnail set so campers can have a glimpse beforehand.
You are also required to create (a) separate studio/project(s) for minute counts, whatever’s easiest for you and your team. Please make sure to specify ‘Minute Count Studio’ on the designated studio so campers aren’t confused as to where they can add minutes.
Your studios’ titles and descriptions should also have a basic layout including all of the elements listed below.
˚⊹ ꒦︶꒦꒷︶꒷꒦ ‧₊˚⊹ ꒷꒦︶꒦︶꒷꒦ ‧₊
❖ Cabin Titles
You are free to be as creative as you’d like with studio names! There are no strict rules on capitalization However, there are a few things that you must specify:
◦ Cabin Name - The name of your cabin (ie. moon, sun, neptune, zenith)
◦ Cabin Symbol - Also used in the leaderboard, just a little icon that can let campers easily tell different cabins’ projects and studios apart just from the title *This should be submitted on @yumetopia’s profile by July 30th!
◦ Camp Name + Session - eg. SDC August 2026 (or any shortened date format, e.g. Aug ‘26)
eg. The Line cabin from the February 2025 session with their symbol as ∾ was titled “illuminary village ∾ line sdc feb '25”.
┈⊹┈
❖ Cabin Main Studio
◦ Introduction Story - This is the first thing campers will see once they arrive at your cabin, so set the scene with your cabin’s storyline—make an impression! You might also want to introduce yourself within the story, as well as tease a few in-cabin activities, if that tickles your fancy.
◦ Cabin Announcements* - As the name suggests, this section is just for broadcasting what’s going on to your campers, for if you have an ongoing storyline or just want to motivate them a bit.
◦ Cabin Relationships* - Siblings, Allies, Neutrals, and Enemies. Whether you have any or all of these is completely up to you and your team - Please reach out to leaders on their profiles to discuss potential relationships, not on this forum! *This session we only have three cabins, so having an even split of cabin relationships is not possible - you can decide amongst yourselves how you'd like to do these or just omit cabin relationships in all <3
◦ Links - A section of links that lead to the SDC Main Cabin, your cabin’s Minute Count Studio (MCS), other camp-wide links like the Records Forum and any other useful links you’d like to include. Alternatively, you may also choose to credit the Activities + Records Forum (https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/804810/) in the main Credits section at the end of your description.
◦ Credits - Credits to past and current host(s), leader(s) of the cabin, and any other sources of inspiration for the cabin.
┈⊹┈
❖ Minute Count Studio/Project
◦ Story* - A continuation to your main studio’s story, if you’d prefer.
◦ Camper + Goal List - A list of camper usernames, names (pronouns + timezones optional), as well as their minute goals and progress on the goal. This should be updated as the session goes, regularly when possible. You can also add a short line of something along ‘Simply comment in this studio with how many minutes you were designing for and what it was about!’
◦ Cabin Currency* - A cabin-specific currency that campers can collect through completing certain tasks like dailies, weeklies, any in-cabin activities, or anything else you can think of (eg. taking a screen break). These can be traded in for offerings of your choice, whether that be matching cabin banners, pfps, forum signatures, et cetera.
┈⊹┈
An asterisk (*) indicates optional elements – These are not required by any means, but can serve to enhance the overall cabin experience.

hi!! another round of congrats to all of you <3 finally back from a uni visit and feeling more energized now so here's the official check-in message bahaha
first of all, some important announcements…
and of course as per tradition.. QUESTIONNAIRE TIME yippee
to those who've never been on a camp leading team it's very simple, just answer the previous questions and then add one of your own :bread:
1. introduce yourself!
hii! i'm yume (she/her) and i live in the est/edt timezone <3 i love bread and chocolate but unfortunately i suck at baking and cooking :pensive: in my free time i enjoy singing, designing, graphic design, video editing, drawing, playing blood on the clocktower (WE are legion <33) and lots more, feel free to come to my profile to chat anytime you feel like rambling about random things bahaha
2. do you prefer sweet or salty bread? (yume)
way too hard of a decision i love all bread :sob: BUT i will say that custard bread and sweet potato bread are some of my favourites so probably sweet bread… although cheese and pork floss is also INSANELY good yall should try it :yum: (for more bread recommendations please redirect yourselves to my profile)
first of all, some important announcements…
- cabin symbol and cabin blurb need to be sent on this forum on or before october 30th, 23:59 UTC! please try to keep your cabin blurb under 500 characters and make sure the symbol you pick isn't a language symbol that could be offensive to some cultures
- i need minute goal and memory book stipulation from all (co)leaders to use during camper sort! profile comments do not like me so you can just post them on this forum as well <3

Hi, I’m Maddie (she/her) and I am in the CST time zone!!! I have co-lead before, but this is my first time leading, so I’m super excited for that. I love making movies and writing, but I’m way too busy watching anime to ever be productive while doing so. I also love to read! <3 My favorite things to design are banners, pfps, and bios, though only technologically. I’m really bad at drawing! I love talking and joking around; sorry it if I seem a little too much sometimes. :0
Do I prefer sweet or salty bread? Sweet bread is definitely my favorite, as I just have the biggest sweet tooth ever ahahahahahah #candy4life but I couldn’t tell you what my favorite is because I have no idea the names of breads.
Question for the next leader: If you had to choose between being trapped in Jumanji or getting sent into the Hunger Games, which would you prefer?

hello !! Clementine here
as I just said lol, i'm Clementine, aka Clemmie or Clem ! I use she/they and live in EST, but until October 30th I'm in a different time zone. I like doing a bunch of different things, including drawing, writing, roleplaying, and I also do musical theatre ! I also really like fashion(I'm learning how to sew !) and learning about history and supernatural stuff <3 I've never co-led before (I did lead one time but I was so insanely inactive so we don't talk about that time…) and i'm so excited fo get the chance to !
i've never watched(?) Jumanji, so i guess THG, but I would also probably end up dead lol. As for the bread, probabaly sweet ! I love challah and bagels(specifically the rainbow ones), but I fear i love cornbread(the loml btw !! / lh) too much to not say sweet lol.
For the next person, if you were a perfume, what would your notes/scents be ? idk if i'm also supposed to answer but i would probably have notes of vanilla, roses, and maybe coffee/baked goods !

yay questionnaire!!
1. introduce yourself!
hiii!! i'm julia, aspiring writer, professional overthinker and rambler, and part-time enjoyer of fictional characters who have absolutely no business being as interesting as they are. i like reading (currently i've been inducted into a lotm cult reading lord of the mysteries by cuttlefish that loves diving—100% recommend if you're into webnovels that happen to have 2000+ pages of lore to get emotionally attached to…), writing (i mean i do swc after all…ALSO what swc cabin are you guys in if you're doing it this session :0), music (i like way too many genres oiwlasjdl i've recently got into tripleS as well…blame yume.), and social deduction games (LIKE BLOOD ON THE CLOCKTOWER :heart_eyes
. i'm very normal about the things i like. anyway, it's lovely to meet you all!!
2. do you prefer sweet or salty bread? (yume)
ldksjlsd;a this is so hard because i definitely have a sweet tooth but i love savory things as well </33 but i'm going to have to go with sweet, solely because i've never had salty bread?? i normally just eat white bread or sourdough bread (i'm very uncultured :pensive: i'm sorry /silly)
3. If you had to choose between being trapped in Jumanji or getting sent into the Hunger Games, which would you prefer? (Maddie)
jumanji, probably. the hunger games would require me to be athletic, strategic, AND willing to commit violence, and i fear i would simply perish from the narrative irony of it all. at least jumanji has the possibility of a side quest…maybe i'll even get character development :eyesL
4. if you were a perfume, what would your notes/scents be ? (clementine)
maybe like…hmm…i dunno, this is a hard one! probably the chill wind on a winter’s day, the shadow in the moonless night, the poison in your tea and the whisper in your ear… /silly /ref
5. what is a hill you would die on? (julia)
a character does not have to be a good person to be a good character. sometimes i want to study a fictional disaster like a bug under a microscope and that is a perfectly legitimate literary activity. media literacy is in critical condition and i am NOT helping.
