So recently after reading a forum post i realized i couldent advertise on projects, it wasent allowed, so i stopped, but when i put my projects in like, 10 add everything studios, they get BARELY any views, anyone know a way to make your scratch project more popular while abiding the rules of scratch??

Be active in the community in general, and people might check your projects out. That is the best option.

usually when you have a good project for SDS, it gets views and stuff

2. Add projects to featured studios, I once got 500 views from that

Adding your projects to front page studios or active studios related to your projects can help.
Also just being active in the community in general and getting acquaintances who check out your projects helps a lot as well.

It also helps to have good thumbnails (which are easier to make now.) Putting your projects in advertising studios can help, and if possible, hosting an advertising studio is something people often appreciate.

“Usually” is not the right word here. While getting front paged via the SDS guarantees a good haul of views, it requires getting lucky. It is worth trying, but you cannot expect results from it.

Advertising studios are functionally no different from the add everything studios the OP already tried and got no meaningful results from.

Personally asking for help on your game with your code & asking people to review it is a very good way it's not really advertisement if you ask for people to help you understand bugs that are going on in your game

If you were to go to some else comment sections & advertise your game then yeah the would probably be bad
so, if you want views it's a good way to spread word about your game throughout
Forms.

if you are to participate in the newer what if event it has a higher chance to push your project to the front page

Personally asking for help on your game with your code & asking people to review it is a very good way it's not really advertisement if you ask for people to help you understand bugs that are going on in your game

I would consider randomly asking people to review one's game advertising, and asking for help should be done via Help with Scripts, not random profiles, and doing so just to get views would be dishonest.
