Hey everyone! Welcome back everyone for the 2027 session of jwc <3 If any of you guys have suggestions or ideas, please bring them up, and we can discuss them together! At the end of this post is a few things that we should definitely address asap that will be labeled as important, so please make sure to check that out!

Though we should all be somewhat familiar with each other, let’s continue the tradition of introductions! It’s a great way to get to know everyone and let the planning begin!

I’m Em! One of your previous ghosties last session, I have led in jwc in 2023 and hosted in 2024 and 2025! I love playing music, especially the piano and saxophone though I’m learning the clarinet too! I also love reading and writing Some of my favorite artists are Conan Gray, BETWEEN FRIENDS, Malcolm Todd, and Royel Otis! I also love STEM and art so you could say I have a lot on my plate! My goal for this session is to make it as active as possible, and hopefully get the mbc out! I’m not sure if I’ll be hosting next session, so I’d also love to see jwc get passed down, possibly in the hands of one of you guys :eyes:

If you were here last session, you know the deal:
Cat has chosen the daily team and everything else is up for grabs! I would really like if we had at least two people on memory book, whether that be me and another co-host or 2 co-hosts and me, I just want to ensure that no one is overloaded with all that work! You don’t have to choose the same role as you did last session, and you’re welcome to explore other options!

If you did not (co)host last session:
in the past, hosting for jwc has been kind of “pick what you want to do out of EVERYTHING” and its been stressful when youre helping with the memory book committee for one thing, but then keeping track of when to share a project for another. these roles may change as time goes on, but for now this is what were working with! please note that your role doesnt cancel you out from being involved in different roles/teams. this is simply a way of being more organized <3

As Ris said last session, I, as the host, will be overseeing everything, making final decisions, and being in charge of one area.

I think we should definitely choose another co, whether or not Mabel accepts my offer! I’ve talked to both Chocolate and Cat, and you guys both suggested @starunicorn_5/kat, which sounds good to me! We can definitely look for options like other previous (co)leaders in JWC, but I’d like to decide who we’re adding soon!

- as for the genres, there’s been fantasy, fan-fi, hi-fi, dystopian, poetry, short stories, mystery, sci-fi, non-fi, steampunk, drama, action, comedy, and gothic, fairy tales, bi-fi,
epistolary! do we want to have any again or switch out any or add any?
- we can decide names after the genres! these typically go hand in hand with the genre- phantom being gothic, joker being comedy, etc
- each cabin will have one ally, one enemy, and the rest are neutrals!

- I really like the idea of constellations(or night sky)/under the sea since those two have been brought up previously but we never got to do them

IMPORTANT
I’d really like to see the memory book released this session, so it’d be great if we could have 2 or more (co)hosts working on that! I will pitch in as one, and anyone else who would like to help would be great! We should also get a few leaders to join the team too <33 compiling comments, cabin colors, fonts, etc. are also very important!
Any thoughts on advertising for jwc to keep leader apps and campers up?

I’m cat and camped in jwc 2024, led in 2025, and hosted in 2026 <3 I’m a violist, future psychologist, and iced coffee lover! some of my favorite artists are frank ocean, lyn lapid, clairo, the marías, ha vay, faye webster, and hozier. my favorite colors are blue, red, and green, and I hate yellow (hi mabel hi chocolate) ^^ I’m happy to be back, and I’m excited to be working with yall!

another note: if I’m remembering right, a couple years back we had some sort of requirement for (co)leaders joining either the mbc or the activity team; I think it would be nice to bring that back <3 last session, we had 5 people on the activity team and many many things to write, and I don’t want to overwork everyone again ^^

aw okay </3 I think having five (co)hosts was useful in part because we had lots of input on decisions, but we could definitely make do with four, especially if we were to combine projects co-host and writing comp co-host or change that somehow. I'd also be willing to just take the projects and eradicate the projects co-host since those projects are technically dailies ^^

hi guys! <3 i’m glad to be here i’m kat, she/her pronouns! i love cats (well, most animals in general), reading, writing, and badminton! i led the bi-fi funhouse last session, and i can’t wait for the upcoming one! i play the keyboard, avidly follow STEM, and randomly dish out fascinating animal facts! the main artists i listen to are taylor swift and freya skye!

I love the idea of a early 2000s arcade, but it doesn't feel like hi-fi to me :0 it feels more retro, almost contemporary, but I don't think that fits very well either… I guess it depends how you think about hi-fi, but maybe sci-fi would fit?

since you're new to the team kat, what I think we'll do with the mbc is that I create the forum + assign roles and create the canva template but you take charge of everything like the mbcc, voting, release, etc. and do more pages just so you have an idea of how it works? then the other co-hosts can just help design a few pages

And then I can do the writing comp!

I love hi-fi empire! I really like the greek or roman theme with colesseum, but it feels much more specific than the others xD
