in the boss fight when the ghost uses ectoplasm balls lines appear too? they aren't a sprite or have any code but they still appear. they look cool and im not removing them just want to know why? here's the game https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1364712216

uh i digged 15 mins into your game i finally found why. try selecting the entire ectoplasm costume with bitmap. you will see its not only that circle, its a tiny line right under it. i mean it looks cool either way lel
