My browser / operating system: iPhone iOS 26.2.0, Safari 604.1, No Flash version detected

For some reason scratch has became BUGGY AS HELL on iphone. some buttons just dont appear or dont work, some menus are too big and its really hard or even impossible to scroll to the buttons, scrolling bugs, man. let me talk about EVERY SINGLE ISSUE.

1. The add studio button on the project page just ceases to exist

2. The add extensions button and the search from libary button for adding sounds and sprites appear but JUST DONT WORK NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU CLICK.

3. The project page is SO HARD TO SCROLL to where you need to becuase the thumbnail pop up button for some reason makes it hard to scroll and appears EVERY GOSHDARN TIME I OPEN COMMENTS

4. deleting or reporting comments on profile pages have the pop up appear WAY out of bounds

5. for the pop up that appears to record your own sound, its so hard to scroll to the add sound button and if your recording is TOO LARGE, its litterally impossible to scroll to that button.

6. for the pop up that appears to make a custom block THE ADD CUSTOM BLOCK BUTTON IS LITTERALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO SCROLL TO

7. and on the bottom of pages, only HALF THE BUTTONS APPEAR
if you're vertical

and there might be even more issues i forgot.

so please scratch team, notice this AND FIX SCRATCH ON MOBILE!

I agree, when I use it on a phone, you can't really even code. It's too cramped on the screen to make anything good.

I am actually on an iPad right now and it works fine I just connect a keyboard and mouse when I need features that don’t work on mobile and sometimes just because a different reason

I din’t know why scratch made the website html5 for mobile devices, only to not even make the phone version properly work.
Also using the project editor sux on mobile

That’s because scratch was never intended to work on phones. The editor would be very squashed and have to be scrolled across or would be very small and hard to use. It’s like that likely because the ST doesn’t bother to fix scratch on a device it can’t even be used efficiently or run properly on

Agreed, Scratch was designed for small laptops like Chromebooks that would be intuitive for kids to learn. On tiny phone screens without keyboards, it just wasn't worth the hassle to design a UI that wouldn't have worked well anyway.

The switch to HTML5 was due primarily because of the depreciation of Adobe Flash, which ran Scratch 2. That time constraint also adds to reasons why the Scratch team didn't implement a mobile UI, they were busy just trying to make the switch before Flash was gone.
